Weather in London: Really so Bad?

It never happened that, any time I mentioned someone I was living in London, their reaction was a horrified “oh my gosh how do you cope with the rain and the awful weather?”
Sure the weather can be grey and miserable at times but it’s also true that it rarely reaches extreme levels. In winter it’s never too cold, and in summer is never too hot, when it rains it’s just a drizzle, never a torrential downpour. That said it’s utterly unpredictable and four seasons can happen in just one day: so wear layers and be prepared for anything.
